The PH 3\/2 Pendant is part of a family that now numbers thirty lights — the product of a scientific approach that used the logarithmic spiral as its geometric basis, achieving even distribution of light across the entire curve of each shade.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe first shades were made of metal with a painted underside — white, gold, or silver depending on the quality of light desired. Glass was introduced later, allowing the pendant to illuminate the room as well as the surface below. The PH 3\/2 Pendant uses that glass system: three mouth-blown opal shades, glossy on top and sandblasted matte on the underside, producing a soft, diffused light with no glare and no harsh shadows.
