Its reissue brings back one of the most quietly remarkable pieces in the Flos archive — a floor lamp that is as much an exercise in material craft as it is a light source.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eTwo vertical blades of heat-treated ash wood enclose a tubular LED light source, joined at either end by polished, zapon-varnished aluminium terminals. Light is emitted symmetrically and indirectly from both sides, the warmth of the wood softening and filtering the luminous flow. The construction borrows techniques from naval architecture — the wood is CNC-milled in Northern Italy and heat-treated to dry the fibres and prevent warping over time.
